As a lifelong resident of Scotts Valley, I understand the needs of this community. We want to keep our small town feel while providing needed services like parks, a fully staffed police department and well maintained roads.

As your Councilmember and past Mayor we have made great progress in many key areas.

The Town Center is on its way, after a decade of failures, and, with the right leadership, we will have a great Town Center to enjoy with our families, while providing needed economic growth for our city.

As a small business owner I understand challenging economic times. While on the Council, I’ve helped make progress here as well. We are on our third year of positive sales tax growth. We have also cut in half the vacant commercial space in town.

As Mayor I gained approval of our Green Building Ordinance providing sustainable new buildings and reducing water demands.

Shugart Dog Park has been approved and will provide a permanent dog park and open space for our families.
